Mrs. Mary McGeough,
widow of James McGeough, died this morning at 7 o'clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. James E. O'Hara, 60 Burrill Avenue.  She was born in Ireland, but had resided in Lynn for more that 50 years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James E. O'Hara and Mrs. J. J. Murphy of Lynn, four sons, John, James, and Patrick of Lynn, and Andrew J. McGeough of Somerville.  She also leaves seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  She has been a long time member of St. Joseph's Church.


Bernard McGeough (b. 1852 MOG - d. 07/APR/1908 Salem, MA) Salem Evening News 7/APR/1908
       
Bernard McGeough died at his home, 122 Essex St.  This morning, after a long illness.  He was born in Ireland and was 49 years of age.  He was a shoe cutter by trade and had been a resident of Salem only about six weeks, coming here from Boston.  He was a member of Electric City Court, Forresters of America of Lynn.  He leaves a widow.

Requiem high mass over the remains of Bernard McGeough was celebrated in the church of the Immaculate Conception this forenoon at 10 o'clock.  Many friends attended.  Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Funeral of Mrs. McGeough
        This forenoon Mgr. Strain visited the house 71 Marion Street, and said prayers for the dead over the body of Mrs. Maria A. McGeough, who from sorrow at the loss of her dearly loved son, ended her own life in so pathetic a manner Thanksgiving evening.  At 2PM a number of relatives and friends followed the remains of the unfortunate woman to St. Mary's Cemetery, where the internment was made.  (See Maria A. John McGeough, retired employee of the River Works and a resident of Lynn for the past 60 years, died at his home, 65 Elm Street; this forenoon.  He was born in Ireland about 75 years ago, coming to this country as a youth and was employed by the General Electric Company about 30 years prior to his retirement eight years ago.  He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Church.
        Besides his wife, Mrs. Cecelia McGeough, he leaves one daughter, Mrs. Michael J. O'Connor; a son Andrew, and four grandchildren of Lynn; two sisters, Mrs. James O'Hara and Mrs. Catherine Murphy of Lynn, and three brothers, James and Patrick of Lynn, and Andrew McGeough of Somerville.  Lynn Item 12/DEC/1932

John McGeough (b. 1853 MOG - d. 12/DEC/1932 Lynn, MA)
        Funeral services for John McGeough were held this forenoon from his home, 65 Elm Street, at 3:15 o'clock, followed by a solemn requiem mass at St. Mary's Church and celebrated by Rev. Cornelius T. H. Sherlock with Rev. Daniel Burke as deacon and Rev. John J. Watson as sub-deacon.  There were many floral tributes and spiritual bouquets from relatives and friends.  Bearers were Patrick, James, and Andrew McGeough, brothers of the deceased.  John Tarpey, William O'Neil, and William Ford.  Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

        Andrew T. McGeough (b. 1888 - d. 1958) Daily Evening Item

                Andrew T. McGeough, 69, of 12 Clark Road, Lynnfield, died yesterday in Lynn Hospital after
        a brief illness.
                A native and lifelong resident of Lynnfield, he was manager of O'Connor's Restaurant on Lewis
        Street in Lynn.  He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Assumption Church and
        Lynn Lodge of Elks.
                He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lena (Gautreau) McGeough; one sister, Mrs. Mary C. O'Connor of
        Lynnfield; and two nieces and two nephews.
                The funeral will be held from Garrett J. Wall Funeral Home, 103 Johnson Street, Lynn, Friday
        at 9:15AM, with a Solemn Requiem Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield at
        10AM.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lynn.

        Lena McGeough Lynn Item
                Mrs. Lena (Gautreau) McGeough, 81, 19 Wyman St., died today at her home after a
        lengthy illness.
                Born in New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of (Arsenault) Gautreau.  A resident
        of Lynn most of her life, she was a former member of the Sodality of Our Lady of the Assumption
        Church, Lynnfield.  She was the widow of Andrew T. McGeough and leaves a sister; Mrs. Alice
        Barrett
of Lynn; and several nieces and nephews.
                The funeral will be held Saturday at 8AM.

James J. McGeough (b. 12/JUL/1863 MOG - d. 22/JAN/1943 Lynn, MA) Lynn Item 23/JAN/1943
          
James J. McGeough of 29 Shorey Street died yesterday at his home at the age of 77.  A lifelong resident of Lynn, he was a former shoecutter. 
        He leaves his sister, Mrs. Susan O'Hara of Lynn; and two brothers, Andrew J. McGeough of Somerville and Patrick H. McGeough of Swampscott.
        Funeral services will be held at Donovan's, 9 School Street, Monday at 10AM followed by requiem high mass in St. Joseph's Church at 10:45AM.

The funeral of James J. McGeough of 29 Shorey Street, who died Friday, was held yesterday at Donovan's 9 School Street, followed by a high mass of requiem at St. Joseph's Church celebrated by Rev. Francis Curley.
        Bearers were James Landregan, Arthur Blanchard, James Donnelly, and Benjamin Mason.  Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery and committal prayers were read by Father Curley.

Katherine H. (McGeough) Murphy (b. 25/OCT/1864 MOG - d. 06/JAN/1934) Lynn Item 1/1934

        Funeral from the residence of her sister, Mrs. Susan O'Hara, 15 Parker Avenue, on Tuesday, at 8AM.  High mass of requiem at St. Joseph's church at 9 o'clock.  Relatives and friends invited.

John J. Murphy
        John J. Murphy, a former Lynn shoe foreman and for the past two years foreman of the cutting room in the Bresnahan shoe firm of Boston, died suddenly Sunday afternoon at his residence, 33 Chestnut Street, from heart attack.  Mr. Murphy had finished his dinner and walked to another room to read the papers.  A few moments later, his wife walked into the room and her husband was sitting in a chair complaining of a severe illness.  A doctor was called, but before he reached the house Mr. Murphy had passed away.
      
 The deceased was born in St. John's, New Brunswick, and had lived in this city for the past 35 years.  He leaves a wife, Mrs. Katherine (McGeough) Murphy, also three daughters, and two sisters of St. John's, New Brunswick.

Andrew J. McGeough (b. 31(30)/NOV/1866 MOG - d. 15/OCT/1944) Daily Evening Item
        The funeral of Andrew J. McGeough of 9 Packard Avenue, Somerville, formerly of Lynn, was held yesterday from his home with a high mass of requiem in St. Clement's Church, Somerville.  The Rev. Jerome Gill was celebrant. 
        Seated in the sanctuary were the Rev. John Connolly, diocesan directory of the Guild for the Blind, and the Rev. Father Tobin of the Franciscan Monastry, Brookline.
        There were many floral and spiritual bouquets.  Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lynn with committal prayers by the Rev. Joseph F. Maguire of St. Joseph's Church.

        William McGeough (d. 05/JUN/1906) Lynn Item
                McGeough - In Lynn, June 5.  William, son of Andrew J. and the late Josephine L. McGeough,
        4 yrs. 2 mos. 11 days.
                Funeral services will be held at the residence of his father, 11 Howard Street, on Thursday at
        2PM.  Relatives and friends attend without further notice.

Mrs. Susan O'Hara (b. 1868 MOG - d. 07/OCT/1958 Lynn) Lynn Item 08/OCT/1958
        Mrs. Susan (McGeough) O'Hara of 15 Parker Avenue, widow of James E. O'Hara, died at home yesterday after a long illness.
        A native of Ireland, she had lived in Lynn since 1914.
        She leaves a son, John F. O'Hara of West Brookfield; two daughters, Mrs. Charles M. Porter and Miss Helen M. O'Hara, both of Lynn; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
        The funeral will be held from the Landergan Funeral Home, 40 Nahant Street, Thursday at 8AM with a Requiem Mass in St. Joseph's Church at 9AM.  Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Patrick H. McGeough (b. 1873 MOG - d. 05/FEB/1943 Swampscott, MA)

SHOE COMPANY EXECUTIVE DIES OF PNEUMONIA Daily Evening Item 06/FEB/1943
        Patrick H. McGeough, a retired shoe executive, died this morning at his home, 21 Cedar Hill Terrace, Swampscott, following a brief illness of pneumonia.
        He was born in Ireland, but had been a local resident for more than 50 years.  He was a member of Valladolid Council, Knights of Columbus.
        He leaves a wife, Mrs. Christine M. (Connors) McGeough, a brother, Andrew McGeough of Somerville, and a sister, Mrs. James O'Hara of Lynn.
        The funeral will be held at the residence, 21 Cedar Hill Terrace, Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock, and will be followed by a requiem high mass at St. John's Church, Swampscott, at 9 o'clock.

Mrs. Christine M. McGeough Daily Evening Item
        Mrs. Christine M. (Connors) McGeough, 85, 53B Western Ave., widow of Patrick H. McGeough died early today at her home. 
        Born in Clonmel, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Pierce F., and Mrs. Margaret M. (Kiley) Connors.  She resided in Lynn for more than 50 years.
        She leaves a sister, Sister Margaret Immaculata, S.N.D., of St. John's Convent, North Beverly; two nieces, Mrs. Basil Chulyk of Peabody and Mrs. Thomas L. Connelly of Salem; four nephews, Francis J. Connors of Lynn, Paul Connors Derrivan of Danvers, Robert J. Connors and Frederick A. Carr, both of Salem; several grandnieces and grandnephews and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
        The funeral will be from the Henry J. O'Donnell & Sons Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., Salem, Wednesday at 8:15AM, followed by a Requiem Mass in St. Pius V. Church, Lynn, at 9.
        Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.

Mrs. Margaret McGeough (b. 1866 Lynn, MA - d. 20/APR/1942 Lynn) Lynn Item 21/APR/1942
        Following an illness of five weeks, Mrs. Margaret J. McGeough, wife of James J. McGeough of 29 Shorey Street, died yesterday at a local hospital.  Born in Lynn, the daughter of the late Philip McCabe and Mary McCabe, she was educated at St. Mary's Parochial School.
        She was a member of the Ladies' Sodality of St. Joseph's Church and a member of St. Helena court of Catholic Foresters.  Besides her husband she leaves a sister, Mrs. Napoleon Adrian of Lynn.
        The funeral will be held Thursday at 8AM from Donovan's; 9 School Street, with a high mass of requiem in St. Joseph's Church at 9 o'clock.

Mrs. Teresa J. Ford (d. 04/SEP/1942) Daily Evening Item 04/SEP/1942
        Mrs. Teresa J. (McGeough) Ford of 49 Bulfinch Street died today at her home after a week's illness.  A native of Lynn, she was a member of the Martha Washington Catholic Order of Foresters and the Blessed Virgin sodality of St. Mary's Church.
        She leaves her husband, WIlliam J. Ford; two daughters, Miss Margaret M. Ford and Mrs. Patricia Daly of Lynn; three grandchildren and a sister, Miss Rose McGeough of New York.
        Requiem high mass will be celebrated Monday at 9AM in St. Mary's Chapel.

Mrs. Mary Donnelly (d. 25/SEP/1901 Lynn)
        Wife of Owen Donnelly, the well known Monroe Street shoe dealer, died suddenly of heart disease, at her home, 10 Villa Place, off Shepherd Street, at 3PM Wednesday.  Aged 41 years 7 months and 5 days.  She had been attending a meeting of the Women's Sodality of St. Mary's Church, in St. Mary's Chapel that evening and was taken sick on the way home.  She was accompanied by a friend and soon after entering her residence became much worse, when Rev. Fr. Noonon, of St. Mary's Church was sent for and arrived just in time to administer the last rites of the Catholic church before her death.  She was an estimable woman, who had a large circle of friends in Lynn and other cities, all of who will hear of her death with much regret.  She took a pardonable pride in her home, where she lived happily with her husband and family of six children, four boys and two girls, all of whom have the sympathy of many friends in their sad affliction.
        Mrs. Donnelly was born in Monohan County, Ireland, and had resided in Lynn for 20 years.  She is survived by three sisters and one brother, who resided in New York, also two sisters, who reside in Lynn.
